The 15th Annual Mermaid
Tears Sea Glass Festival: July 27 & 28, 2024

Eastern Kings Sportsplex, 203 Veteran’s Memorial Hwy, route 2 Souris, PE
Two days (Saturday, July 27 & Sunday, July 28) of everything Sea Glass/Nautical. Admission: $8 for Adults(ages 17-54) $5 for Seniors (55+) and Students(6-16). Preschooler are FREE. Join us for a variety of vendors, sea glass bingo($0.50 per card-cash & gift prizes to be won), children’s activities, inflatables, pony rides, food vendors, FREE access to the Souris Historical Lighthouse located at 134 Breakwater Street (the HAM people will be there connecting with the rest of the world by radio), our 15th annual in-person festival brings the Regatta back to life Thursday, July 25th to Sunday, July 28th. Starting with tug of war pulls at 6:00pm Thurs.-Sat. Join us Friday evening at the Eastern Kings Sportsplex in the Acorn room for some Seaside Shenanigans, a pageant with a nautical twist. Join us for a fun night as we put a twist on the nostalgic Queen of the Sea Pageant. There will be 4 categories where the participants will be showing off their best stuff. Best nautical dress, fishing trivia, talent and physical strength(nautical themed obstacle course)Doors will open at 8pm. Admission will be $ donation to the Souris Food Bank. Pageant begins at 8:30pm 19+ Cash bar will be open and Tipsy Farmers & Colville Bay Oysters will be providing food. Mermaid Tears Sea Glass Festival also presents High Stakes on the High Seas Poker Run Sunday, July 28th, 2024. $10 per person to join. Registration and first card 12:00pm at the Souris Wharf. Register early at Vernon D’Eons (35 High Street) or by emailing regattarevival@gmail.com. Set sail on the water with stops on both the North & South sides to collect your cards and compete for exciting prizes. The fun continues at the closing event in the Acorn room at the Eastern Kings Sportsplex, where prizes will be awarded amidst lively music and delicious food for sale at Tipsy Farmers. Don’t miss out on this exciting community tradition!

People’s Choice - TBD Enter 3 pieces for $5 (NO LIMIT on pieces entered….every 3 pieces $5)
You must pay $5 admission fee to the festival.
Criteria to consider when entering a shard; Color rarity, roundness and frosted surface bubbles, test or patterns. Any other identifiable age or pontil scars.
Best Shard Contest
ENTRY PROCESS: Shards will be accepted from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Sunday at the “Best Sea Glass Find” table - with judging starting at 3:00pm sharp. Entry forms are filled out by contestants and given to an attendant who will place them on a table. The shards will be attached to entry form using glue dots. Contestants must enter their shard in person and are responsible for picking up their entries after the contest.
JUDGING: Judging begins at 3:00pm on Sunday and prizes will be awarded as close to 4:00pm as possible. Contestants should not speak to judges during the judging process.
RETURN PROCESS: Prize cheque will be awarded at the event and winners are asked to remain for photos. We will do everything to expedite the return process. To ensure that everyone receives their own shard, proper I.D. will be required.
PLEASE NOTE: Vendors and committee members CANNOT enter into the shard contest. **The grand prize shard will not be eligible for entry the following year.
IN THE UNFORTUNATE EVENT THAT A SHARD IS LOST OR STOLEN, EASTERN KINGS SPORTSPLEX OR “MERMAID TEARS” SEA GLASS FESTIVAL/COMMITTEE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE.

Each registered vendor may enter their most magnificent shard or beach find for only $5 with the chance to win a free table for next year’s Mermaid Tears Seaglass Festival. (Value of $150). Danielle Oster was the winner for 2019 festival. She redeemed her prize in 2022. Congratulations Danielle!!Teri Hall won in 2023. Congratulations, Teri!
This contest will be Saturday only and the judging will begin at 3pm sharp. The seaglass visitors will be casting their votes as to which is truly the best piece. Only 1 entry per vendor. BEST OF LUCK VENDORS!!
No ATM machine will be on site
