Mermaid Tears Sea Glass Festival
The Mermaid Tears Sea Glass Festival is the only festival of its kind in Canada. The festival is held on the 3rd weekend of July each year. It celebrates Sea Glass AKA mermaid tears. The festival is held in South Eastern Prince Edward Island, Canada in the picturesque community of Wood Islands. It begins on Friday evening with a lecture by a guest speaker and continues on Saturday with a vendor fair of sea glass crafts as well as many other activities for the whole family! From the festival grounds you can walk to the beach, visit the historic Wood Islands Lighthouse and watch the ferry that connects PEI to the rest of Canada, dock.
