Mermaid Tears Sea Glass Festival
July 26, 27, 28th, 2013
The Mermaid Tears Sea Glass Festival is the only festival of its kind in Canada. The festival is held on the 4th weekend of July each year. It celebrates Sea Glass AKA Mermaid Tears. The festival is now being held in the scenic community of Souris, in Eastern Prince Edward Island, Canada. It begins on Friday evening with a lecture by guest speaker Richard LaMotte, author of “Pure Sea Glass” and continues Saturday and Sunday with a vendor fair of sea glass crafts as well as many other activities for the whole family! From the festival grounds you can walk to the heart of this historical town (we celebrated our 100th Anniversary of Incorporation in 2010), visit the Matthew McLean Historium, tour the shops, enjoy some local cuisine and watch the ferry that connects PEI to the Iles de la Madeleine. Please explore our website and plan to make this truly unique experience part of your summer!
No ATM machine will be on site – 2 banks within a
short driving distance.
